COMPANY PROFILE

GRIESHABER FEINMECHANIK

The company relies on more than 130 years of experience, highly trained employees and modern production sites in the Black Forest and Mexico to produce top quality precision parts. Grieshaber Feinmechanik specialises in the production of worm drives, gears, pinions and pinion shafts. This enables the company to provide a full range of services, from highly efficient, large-scale production runs to the manufacture of complex, small-scale batches. An excellent team of employees, high flexibility across all areas of the company and adherence to extremely strict process requirements (ISO 9001:2015/IATF 16949:2016) guarantee on-time delivery and reliability at all times. Customers in the automotive, building automation, gear manufacture, measuring and control technology and other sectors all rely on the products manufactured by Grieshaber Feinmechanik. In August 2017, Grieshaber Feinmechanik was acquired by Christ & Heiri AG – based in Selzach, Switzerland – and is now part of the Christ & Heiri Group. Together, the companies aim to respond more effectively to customer requirements, continue to expand the business, and further consolidate the market position of the two firms.

PRODUCTION FACILITY

Grieshaber Produktionsstaette 2

Each day, several thousand precision parts are produced during multi-shift operations at the two production sites in the Black Forest and Mexico. The machine pool has 23 turning machines and 43 gearing and micro-gearing machines. Ongoing optimisation and investments has enabled the traditional firm to keep pace with ever-increasing customer requirements over the last few years.

CERTIFICATION AND QUALITY

Grieshaber Qualität 3

Our quality management system guarantees that the parts produced maintain a consistently high level of quality and precision. Comprehensive checks, thorough test procedures and process-related measurements are key elements of Grieshaber Feinmechanik’s quality philosophy. Cutting-edge measurement technology is used to guarantee the highest level of quality. Computer-aided quality assurance systems (CAQ) support quality and process guidelines such as MFU, SPC, PMÜ, FMEA, PPAP, etc. and deliver results that meet customer requirements. The data is archived and can be made available to the customer at any time.

We believe that quality is the result of careful planning and the improvement of processes on an ongoing basis. External and internal audits are performed to continually refine quality processes and guarantee top quality.

Grieshaber Feinmechanik is certified according to ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016.

ENVIRONMENT

Precision and quality imply a low level of waste and scrap, and a minimal impact on the environment. All chips and shavings from the production process – whether brass, steel or special alloys – are recycled. Filter units for coolant and cutting oil increase the quality of the product and minimise the consumption of valuable raw materials.

The company is aware of its responsibility towards the environment and seeks to protect it wherever possible.
